Commencing on 10th November 2017 is this region’s first ever hackathon weekend. The event will bring together many of Nelson/Tasman’s talented business professionals, designers, business analysts and software developers to prototype innovative solutions for primary industry businesses.
Teams of 5-10 people will work together to define a business concept, produce a prototype and promote their solution to a judging panel; all over the course of 48 fun-filled hours. Teams are not required to produce a fully implemented solution. It’s a highly engaging event and a lot of fun. First and second placing teams will be recognised with honour, glory and cash prizes, plus there are individual prizes up for grabs too.
What’s in it for you? The real prize for participating is the opportunity to learn, create valuable connections and showcase your skills to the region and businesses involved - through the event weekend you can showcase your talent to all involved, which could un-lock doors and opportunities for you in the future. All meals are included to keep you fuelled, and our team of 6+ mentors will be available to share their life experience and knowledge in various specialist fields. Plus, you’ll be working amongst other great minds in your team.
